Laptop Ordered!

Ordered a used machine from eBay listed at £465 this morning. Seems to be in good condition, and in the event that it fails to meet expectations, it won't take too long to save that money back up again. And hey, if it all works out, I can do all my tech nonsense without melting my poor Surface Pro :)
So it's a tad ironic that I opened up this laptop to find the far left of the screen cracked-- The bottom corner seems to have taken the worst of it. I have no idea what could have done it, as I didn't leave anything there and haven't been very rough with it. I'll have to look into getting it fixed... but knowing the price of Microsoft-issued replacement parts... Mmph.
Talk about "good" timing, I guess. I still plan to use this machine for my art and writing, and I'd prefer to keep it alive for as long as possible. In any case, it is four years old, and in our high-paced world of breakneck-advancements (whether or not they're actually helpful) and planned obsolescence, that's at least middle-aged.
It's something I've been worried about for awhile now, so it's nice to finally have that out of the way.
